Generally, the values stated can also be applied to SAN, PMMA, PC and rigid PVC. For modified polystyrene, especially ABS, the fastness properties are lower.
III. MAIN FIELDS OF APPLICATION
Fluorescent transparent and opaque dyeing of PS, SAN, PMMA, PC, rigid PVC, CA and CAB. Opaque dyeing of SB, ABS and ABS/PC blends.
IV. STORAGE STABILITY
Unlimited if stored properly.
V. RESISTANCE TO RADICAL-FORMING AGENTS
Porofor N |

Dilauroyl-P |
+ |
Dibenzoyl-P |
+ |
+ = resistant;
- = not resistant
Porofor N = Azo-bis(isobutyronitrile)
P = peroxide
Amount Applied
0.1% radical-forming agent
0.05% dyestuff in MMA
VI. FASTNESS TO BLEEDING
Suitability for Dyeing Household Utensils
No staining of distilled water, 2.0% by weight acetic acid, 10.0% by volume ethanol, coconut oil or peanut oil in our test on 0.1% dyeing of PS, ABS, SAN, PMMA, PC and rigid PVC. (The tests used saturated strips of filter paper for 5 hours at 50 °C).
